Serves as an Information Technology NCO/Signal Support Systems NCO in a Military Intelligence Battalion; supervises, installs, operates and performs unit level maintenance on multi-functional/multi-user information processing systems, peripheral equipment, and associated devices in both tactical and garrison configurations; requisitions, receives, stores, issues, and accounts for COMSEC equipment, and associated keying material; enforces Army network security and information assurance policies. As Signal Support Systems NCO supervises and integrates the installation, operation and maintenance of signal support systems, to include radio, wire, cable and battlefield automated systems; plans, and provides training and support for the Division’s local area networks, wide area networks and routers which service over 10,000 users. Responsible for the morale, welfare, and professional development of one junior NCO, and nine Soldiers; responsible for automation equipment worth in excess of $250,000. Responsible for establishing all lines of communications during annual training events to include networking, setting up TOCs, installation and training of all HARRIS and SINCGAR radios.Daily Duties:● Installed, configured, and administered SUN Solaris 9.x-10.x network for 200+ users.● Managed and configured boot image files, created and configured VLANS, and programmed Access Control Lists on CISCO routers and switches.● Installed, configured, and managed Active Directory infrastructure and messaging services.

Created, disseminated and briefed daily intelligence, operational, enemy activity and equipment status reports to commanders in support or Operation New Dawn.
