I am the Student Wellness Coordinator for the Aerospace department at Middle Tennessee State University. My role is to provide mental health and wellness resources to Aerospace students and cultivate a supportive environment free of stigma and judgment. I also aim to destigmatize mental health topics by implementing mental health workshops in the curriculum. Working with other aerospace programs across the country, the Wellness Committee and I are working towards implementing a peer-support program for the students here at MTSU. I graduated with my Master of Aviation Education from Middle Tennessee State University in the School of Aeronautics/Aerospace. My Master's degree is in Aviation Education. My thesis work focused on mental health and wellness in aerospace students. I was also the chair of the Wellness Committee within the Aerospace Department before graduation, and continue to chair the committee. The Wellness Committee is focused on improving aerospace student wellness and advocating for mental health within the community. I earned my Bachelor's of Aviation Business Administration from Liberty University. While there, I had the opportunity to be an administrative assistant to the dean and assist in teaching courses. I also had many other wonderful opportunities, including being a part of the recruitment team for airshows, curating social media marketing, and coordinating with representatives from major airlines who visited the university! All of the great experiences I had at Liberty University fostered a passion for education within me.
