Within this position, I am responsible for aiding office admin with any additional help they may need. I also focus on creating orders for products, paying invoices, scheduling meetings, and organizing office staff. As an administrative assistant, I focus on training new hires and helping all current staff with any needs or conflicts they may have. The role has many jobs, that one must adapt to everyday.

Throughout this position, I processed medical claims, worked with insurance companies to complete payment for claims, corrected claims, electronically filed claims, and worked with patients to solve all insurance questions. I helped reduce insurance account balances for numerous patients throughout the practice. Posting insurance checks, electronic payments, and payments from patients was also a part of this position. Worked on researching fee schedules, verifying insurance, stayed up to date with changes within Medicare and commerical insurance programs, and educated peers on these processes.

Throughout my time in this position, I was responsible for scheduling appointments, checking patients in for appointments, updating demographics, and communicating with all members of the practice. Verifying insurance, completing paperwork, and other office tasks were all apart of my position. I was also responsible for ensuring patients and providers were on-time throughout the day.
