GES is a tech company focusing on the casino table game market. Our products offer highly flexible and cost effective bonusing systems and value-add to tables, utilising low cost web and Android solutions.I am the lead developer for a range of table progressive, display, and bonusing systems, and new ways to play casino table games utilising an electronic gaming platform that combines table games with gaming terminals and mobile devices.Our products include a complete poker room management software suite comprising progressives, waitlist, and tournament management; house-funded progressives for poker, baccarat, and blackjack; roulette security and surveillance and performance management; Lucky Ball roulette side bet; a range of table game displays for baccarat, roulette, and big wheel, as well as a suite of bespoke games; and several more products in active development.GES products are ATF approved where applicable and are installed in numerous highly regulated jurisdictions.

Surf Software was my little consultancy and web design business.

During my career with TCSJH I developed a host of products including Sic Bo + Animator Display, Com Bo + Animator display, Fan Tan + Animator display, LuminAR illuminating roulette table, Super Sic Bo, Super Money Wheel, and the industry standard Omni range of displays (Baccarat, Big Wheel, and Progressive), and the TCS Universal Dealer Console. I built up a lean and mean software team that developed the Omni Craps display, Blaze table range (Sic Bo, Money Wheel, Dragon Fire, and Roulette), and the patented and multi-award winning products Gaming Floor Live and Supernova (now called GFL Bonusing). I developed a range of interfaces to TCS and third party hardware in order to connect a range of hardware to TCS products: dice shaker, optical bet sensor, Chipper Champ, TCS and Cammegh roulette wheels and readers, VVU shoe, Angel Eye shoe, Bee shoe, Shuffle Master iShoe, PGIC progressive controller; and was instrumental in redeveloping products such as the TCS money wheel and ubiquitous TCS dice shaker. In addition I undertook a range of activities ranging from IT administration to gaming and ACA compliance; co-inventing and authoring several patents; liaising with customers, suppliers, and regulatory authorities; product demonstrations, installations, pre- and post-sales support; writing technical documentation and user manuals; technical support; analysing blackjack house shuffle procedures, and roulette wheel bias reports.

DigitAce Systems developed Protec 21, a system for evaluating the skill of blackjack players and determining their risk to the casino. As the lead developer I acquired an expert knowledge of blackjack and the techniques utilised by skilled players such as card counting, shuffle tracking, and team play.

NPR developed innovative and high performance applications for DEC VAX/VMS systems. Products I developed included: a remote access system that allowed users to access remote VAXes via DECnet as if they were using their local machine ("BOSSnet"​); a system for a major building products company to automatically generate picking lists for large concrete components to load onto trucks in order to install sewer and water mains pits into newly built streets; and a hospital outpatient management system that was commissioned by a major Sydney childrens' hospital. These applications were mainly written in VAX assembly language for high performance.

On secondment from NPR, during this time, I lived in Malaysia and Hong Kong, and traveled throughout Asia carrying out pre- and post-sales and technical support for the Raxco range of system software products for corporate customers running VAX/VMS installations.

At Pioneer (now Hanson plc) I worked in the IT Systems department managing the national fleet of VAX/VMS machines networked via DECnet - managing daily backups, monitoring disk usage, performing VMS system software updates, liaising with DEC, installing and maintaining third party software, and writing software tools to allow local administrators to manage their own user bases.
