Chief Technology OfficerMercer | Sirota Feb 2016 - Jan 2017Purchase, Ny, UsMy primary focus was rebuilding morale and confidence in the development team and resurrecting the development backlog with a stabilized and reliable SDLC. Once this was complete, I led the effort to establish and begin implementation of a roadmap to revamp the single-tenant/single-survey legacy platform into a multi-tenant/trend-enabled platform. This roadmap was most effective as a selling point for the company to be purchased as a forward-thinking leader within the industry. -

Senior Software EngineerTelevox Software Mar 2011 - Aug 2014Brought on board to lead the "Integrations" team.I was responsible for leading a team of developers to consolidate the company's various data-integrations projects into a single, schedule-based, remote-integration solution. A brand, new platform was created from the ground-up within my first six months. At the same time, all legacy systems were supported until migration could complete. A migration strategy was created and implemented as soon as the new platform was put into production. The new platform used a plug-in architecture so new integrations could be added without disturbing the growing customer base.Throughout development, new documentation standards were created and implemented. Coding practices and standards were also documented and enforced. Before I arrived, the team had virtually no pre-existing documentation, and coding standards were non-existent.

Lead Applications Architect / Senior DeveloperSoftware Technology, Inc Jul 2003 - Jul 2006-Utilized ASP.Net, VB.Net, C#, JavaScript, CSS, and XML-technologies.-Architected a State-wide Special Education Tracking System (STI-SETS) for the state of Alabama. Project estimated to last 18 months, but only allocated 9. Project completed on time.-Demonstrated ingenuity by using XSLT as a code generator. Both web and PDF representations of hundreds of customer-specific, paper forms was required. The XSLT generator recovered five months from the development schedule by transforming the PDF layouts (ActiveReports RPX) into ASP.Net layouts (ASCX and CSS).-Created a simple, declarative validation rule-engine based on XPath. Rule-engine was reused on different tiers and platforms without rewriting domain-specific logic, saving more time.-Created an ASP.Net ‘Form Engine’ capable of being embedded in a web-application. Handles data-input, validation and error-reporting, and communication with the back-end.-Continued support and development of STI-SETS for additional customers.
