I took ownership of the company’s newest product that was built in VUE.js (law.com/radar). I reduced the deployable package size by implementing webpack and image optimization, consolidating styles and javascript, and reducing/re-organizing components to be reusable.I also support the iOS and Android apps for Law.com Radar. These apps were built in NativeScript VUE. I am able to follow the testing and release process for both Apple and Android.
  • Homeadvisor
    Frontend/Ui Developer
    Homeadvisor Oct 2010 - Dec 2019
    Denver, Colorado
Began in 2010 as an HTML Developer. Became the sole front end developer on the professional side of the business six+ years ago. I've worked in email template creation in both JSP and Pug. We started using LESS as our CSS preprocessor and became focused on mobile first design/responsive web design. In November 2018, Service Professional (SP) enrollment was stagnant. To engage SPs, I created a new enrollment path with new UI designs and new frontend framework (VUE) to engage SPs. The new path was A/B tested with the old path. The new path won with increased enrollments via mobile web and desktop. Skills Used: Vue, Vuex, Axios, ES6, LESS, Omniture, custom Google Tag Manager tag, Atomic Design, Spring MVC Tiles, JAWR bundles, cypress.io, Responsive Web DesignDay to day work included: Agile ceremonies to manage projects, integrating RESTful APIs via axios and state management via VUEX for VUE apps. Created new Tiles definitions and JAWR bundles to load the VUE apps (an interim fix until the company got Micro-FrontEnds implemented). Using Spring MVC and JSPs for our jQuery/Javascript implementation. Create basic Java controllers to serve up JSPs and email templates. Implement Omniture tracking and Google Tag Manager custom tags. Research and follow up with problems/issues brought to the team from other stakeholders. Thorough testing of a project before handing it off to QA.Skills: ▪ VUE, VUEX, VUE Router ▪ Axios ▪ LESS/CSS ▪ HTML5 ▪ Responsive Web Design, Mobile First Design ▪ GIT Version Control ▪ Jade/Pug ▪ Cypress Testing ▪ JavaScript, jQuery ▪ VSCode/IntelliJ ▪ Spring MVC Tiles ▪ Jawr Bundles ▪ RESTful API Integration ▪ JSP ▪ Omniture, Google Tag Manager ▪ ES6, NPM ▪ VMwareI have created 2 new sections of the site and maintained the most used section of the site. We've gone though many iterations of best practices, as well as team organization. I have worked in an Agile team communicating with multiple stakeholders throughout the company.
