Built Adobe Flashhome (home screen application on mobile handsets) and Flashcast mobile applications using the Adobe Mobile Client (AMC includes Flash player) and Adobe Mobile Server. Shipped two releases of Flashcast and Flashhome products on BREW and Symbian devices successively. Verizon Wireless deployed Flashcast on several mobile phones. Led a team of Flash mobile developers and architects.

Managed a team of deployment engineers that deployed & launched SCREEN3 (a network data services application) on Motorola handsets (P044, P0441 and P052 releases of P2K platform) at Cingular U.S.A, VIBO Taiwan, retail market in Hong Kong and Telefonica Spain. Resolved SCREEN3 problems found by carriers and field teams.

Built and delivered messaging and multimedia components for Linux Java platform for Motorola’s next generation phones. Hired, motivated and led a software development team on Motorola’s new Linux-Java platform for mobile devices. Product was developed in both Java and C/C++ on Linux.Developed messaging protocol stacks (SMS, MMS, IMAP4, SMTP and POP3) under an aggressive schedule. Led messaging team to build MMS SMIL (Synchronized Multimedia Integration Language), 3GPP SMIL support in the messaging application, SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) implementation, 2D and 3D Graphics, JSR 135 support and multi-media applications.Led a globally distributed development team in China, Brazil, Illinois and California to deliver Linux-Java software. Made huge performance improvements and reduced memory footprint on Messaging application, and achieved the best performance of all applications on the Motorola Linux-Java cell phone. My teams filed several patents and I was consistently rated as one of the top managers within the organization.

Assisted founder/CTO to take Windows security prototype to beta product. Initially managed a small team of engineers to build beta product. Based on this Greenborder Windows security client product (on Windows 2000 and Windows XP) the company received VC funding in August 2002. Worked with Product Management, Sales and the CTO to redefine product features and functionality based on customer feedback during beta. Fixed and resolved customer issues and bugs. Developed processes, created architecture and design documents. Hired and managed the development team consisting of software developers, a technical writer and a release engineer in California and a team of developers in Montreal, Canada.

Led the web mail and address book engineering teams at Netscape/AOL that built web mail and address book for CompuServe, Netscape and AOL brands (domestic and international).Greatly improved performance of existing web mail product using Netscape NPE (Netscape Personalization technology) while leading the team to build a new vastly scalable product. Built a new web mail product (code name Atlas), which supported all AOL brands (replaced existing AOL Mail on the Web, Netscape web mail and CompuServe Mail on the Web). Greatly improved performance and stability contained an integrated address book and reduced operational costs by allowing for easy content publishing. Launched Atlas on CompuServe in May 2001 and Netscape web mail (http://webmail.netscape.com/) in July 2001. Migrated 1.5 million Netscape Web mail users from USA.Net (Netscape/AOL partner) to the new AOL Web mail system (Atlas) with minimal user downtime. In 6 months I architected, built and launched a new software service called Universal Address Book. It was simultaneously launched with the AOL 6.0 client in fall of 2000 and in a few weeks this new software service supported 40 million users.

Developed and architected Solaris for Internet Service Providers. Implemented and productized SWS (Sun Web Server) and Sun Network Cache and Accelarator (a fast in kernel HTTP cache).
