As Head of Virtual Coaching at Innovation Sprint I was responsible for designing and overseeing the integration of virtual coaching technology into the Healthentia platform. A high-tech R&D driven approach that includes AI-based decision making tools and embodied conversational agents that offer natural and engaging human-computer interaction.

As Senior Researcher in the eHealth Cluster of Roessingh Research and Development I was leading a research track focusing on Human Computer Interaction for eHealth. This role included the acquisition of research funding through national and European (Horizon 2020) R&D Grants, as well as the coordination and execution of research projects and supervision of PhD-level staff. Thematic focus has been on personalisation and tailoring - developing technology that adjusts to the personal preferences of patients/users, as well as novel ways of interacting with patients through e.g. dialogue-driven interaction. Specifically, the research and development has lead to innovations in the area of developing digital virtual coaching, e.g. the H2020 project "Council of Coaches" and the "WOOL Platform" - an open-source dialogue platform.
