About Ben Harms

I don't love accolades, but man, do I love a great story. Thankfully I've been a part of a lot of great stories over the past 15 years. Like the time at Archrival when we helped Red Bull send hundreds of people on a race across Europe with only cans of Red Bull as currency, their wits and charm--and turned it into one of the brands most successful global activations. Or the time adidas needed a new way to connect with culture and we created a localized, grassroots, field marketing program with nearly 200 full-time hypebeasts for the brand and tripled sell-through in the national key retail accounts. Or that time I put on my politician hat and helped rebrand a global city. And most recently, when my wife and I moved our four kids across an ocean to help resurrect an iconic global fashion brand. Great stories, IMHO, always start with a provocative understanding of real human beings--what they care about, why they do what they do, and the honest realization that people don't think about brands nearly as much as us marketers wish they did. I don't have all the answers, but I have an insatiable desire to know just enough to make me dangerous and never stop asking good questions. I want to tell meaningful stories that matter to people, help connect real, honest value between brands and consumers, all while leading talented teams of passionate humans to make it all happen. Consumer research, brand strategy, creative--it's all fascinating work that I'm beyond lucky to call 'my career' (whatever that means) over the past 15 years. And now we find ourselves at one of the most interesting times in history for brands where technology, consumers and cultural are evolving at lightning speed. There's some great stories to be had, if you ask me. Global clients include: adidas, Spotify, Red Bull, GoPro, Samsung, charity: water, ViacomCBS, YETI, Hollister Co., Abercrombie & Fitch, Adobe and more.
