I am a skilled marketing strategist and research executive with years of experience on both the corporate and supplier sides. In high school I worked in an advertising agency mailroom. While an undergraduate, I worked at McCann Erikson. After serving in the Navy, I worked in research management positions at The Carling Brewing Company and Best Foods (now part of Unilever).I then joined Colgate-Palmolive and managed the marketing research function for several product classes including Oral Care and Household Care.I founded and managed two marketing research firms – Hauser & Associates, Inc. and Fragrance Solutions. At Hauser & Associates, I developed several proprietary research products for new product development, concept testing, and volume projection and modeling. These services were used by clients in the US and were licensed to marketing research partners in Europe and South America. Clients include American Express, Bayer, Colgate-Palmolive, Dannon, Kraft, LG Electronics, Mondelez, Reckitt-Benckiser, Unilever, Wendy's and Wyeth.I co-founded Fragrance Solutions to provide marketing research services to the fine fragrance industry. There I developed the FragranceTrack, a syndicated tracking and brand evaluation service. Clients included Dior, Estee Lauder, IFF, Givauden. I sold the company to NPD and continued to supply research management thereafter. I have a BS in Marketing from Northeastern University and an MBA from Boston University.Recently, I co-founded FOOD AFFAIRS, a research company that specializes in all things food and Foodies.Specialties include strategic planning, new product ideation and development, branding, modeling and tactical decision-making. Areas of expertise include consumer packaged goods, consumer durables, pharmaceuticals, financial services, and fast food.
