Structural Eit Designer
Current-Custom designed shelf support angle for exterior bricking with attachments to a 3 inch proprietary thin slab with angle support fitting within an exterior non-load bearing stud wall-Developed joist reinforcement using section designer and increased ixx significantly by mirroring an existing angle with a new welded angle to maximize distance from neutral axis (c-shape) and satisfying large moment and deflection-SAFE analysis and design of two-way and one-way slabs with hand calculation verifications i.e. DDM -Designed free standing concrete slab deck and balcony with composite connections i.e. timber posts & steel beams while checking bolted loading perpendicular and parallel to grain using the CSA O86 Wood Design codes-Completed conventional foundation design (strip footing with pads) for a 125,000 ft^2 industrial building and currently working on steel framing design of gerber system using programs such as SAP2000 for gravity loadings-Designed composite reinforcement with new LVLs to existing z-purlins across 20 ft. spans to pick up additional mechanical units by transforming the section modulus by a factor of n (steel/wood)-Developed excel sheets for the company based on tributary area inputs from user with auto-generated calculations for footing sizing, required area of steel, number of bars and spacing generated
