I am the current MSFC Safety and Security Manager for the Hewlett-Packard Enterprise Services account for the ACES account with NASA. I am responsible and the sole contact for Physical Security, IT Security and Safety. I am involved in all aspects of these jobs including ID & Credentials, Access, Background vetting & eQIP, Vulnerability Scanning, Change Requests-Firewall Requests, Emergency Response/DR/COOP Plans and serve as the Emergency Response/COOP/DR Coordinator and Safety. I am in process of being certified as the Registration Authority (RA) for PKI certificates for Marshall Space Flight Center. I serve as the POC and interface with the NASA customer for Safety and Security.

This position was in the Network Operations Center for Marshall Space Flight Center LAN Operations. We managed the LAN switches, routers, wireless access points and servers associated with the Local Area Network.

This position was a computer and network technician. I was originally hired to do modem repair on the bench. After two weeks of repairs, I needed more work so I installed computers, terminals, physical network connections and wiring. This included the physical installation of switches, routers, and all forms of telecommunications equipment. Some of this work was before the onset of personal computers and NASA used dumb computer terminals and connections. Some folks at MSFC would remember the old "Data General MIS Days". I have put in network and telecommunications equipment at many of the NASA Centers before LAN and WAN's were established.
