I have extensive experience across education and communications (including a BAFTA nomination for my filmmaking and digital media work at the National Theatre).Career highlights include:• Introducing major pedagogical improvements to the programmes of Speaking & Listening education offered by the Centre for Speech and Debate at the English-Speaking Union.• Being nominated (alongside the production team which I formed and led) for a BAFTA 🎥 🖥 for 'Interactive Creative Contribution' for the Online Tour of the National Theatre in 2009.• Creating the 'Up for Debate' programme 💬 📘🎥🎓for the PiXL Schools Group in collaboration with the Noisy Classroom.• Developing and delivering a range of exciting education projects under my own 'SeeHearTeach' and 'SeeHearDiscover' brands. This includes the popular ‘Curriculum for Excellence: Streamlined’ definitive editions of Scotland’s national curriculum 📚, which use innovative graphic design to make curriculum documentation hugely more accessible for Scotland’s teachers. • Live TV and broadcast education work includes ‘Newsroom in a Day’ (soon to relaunch as ‘NewsAngle: Live’) and the 'SeeHearVote' election debates livestreamed by young people in Croydon North and St Helen's North during the 2017 General Election.• Responding to the Covid crisis in March 2020 to June 2021 by relaunching a B2C wine 🍷 eCommerce site for Scotland’s main wine wholesaler. This simultaneously helped rejuvenate Cockburn of Leith, Scotland’s oldest and proudest wine brand. As well as strategic Comms work, I also supervised and co-delivered in-house web development and design work. This included a major rebrand of Cockburns Vintage Claret and a Christmas 2020 off-sales campaign that broke all previous records even outside of the pandemic. • Project lead and main author on a new holistic communications strategy for Community Enterprise, a charity and associated trading arm including Bold Studio. This ongoing work includes external and internal comms, plus easy-to-use staff handbooks, style guides and templates.• Singing under conductors such as Sir Colin Davis, Valery Gergiev, Bernard Haitink, Sir Simon Rattle, Pierre Boulez and Daniel Harding as a tenor with the London Symphony Chorus.• PRINCE2®-qualified Project Management PractitionerStrengths: Communications strategy, filmmaking, digital media production, integrated copywriting and graphic design, education curriculum development, education workshop leading, education resource creation, singing, musical transcription and arranging, dramaturgy and public speaking training.
