I work as an IT Project & Product Development Manager. In this role I lead and manage product development projects, oversee multiple teams of system analysts, web developers, core system developers, manage project documentation, prioritize and make decisions. Some of the most exciting projects I have worked on were business systems and learning management systems for highly reputed educational institutions. Not only did I have fun doing these projects and seeing them to fruition, but I also found it rewarding to see the results and how they have helped making manual business processes much more efficient. I have also worked as a Project Manager for Ideasparq Robotics, which is into Engineering, Research & Development. Prior to these experiences, I worked as an IB Technology Teacher at Fairview International School. I believe this was an important transition step for me before I got into advanced IT fields such as Project Management, as it helped me to impart knowledge of what I had picked up during my studies, and hopefully plant some seeds for future professionals in the field of Information Technology. I’m a passionate and results driven manager, and always eager to connect with other project/product managers. While I enjoy all aspects of my job, I think my favorite stage of a project/product cycle is working with the clients to understand their business needs, and translating these needs into viable software products which bring value to their business. Managing these projects and seeing them to a successful completion is always extremely satisfying. I have a BCS and MIT degree from International Islamic University, both of which focus on Software Engineering and IT Project Management. I plan to achieve a PMP Certification in the near future. I’m always interested in hearing from former colleagues, managers, or just interesting creative folk, so feel free to contact me if you’d like to connect.
