About Haroon Iqbal
I am an attorney by training and have spent the last five years working for state government. In my position, I managed large amounts of data and documents, and one of my primary goals was to make workflows more efficient and to automate repetitive processes. As part of my job, I worked with our agency's IT department to design a web application for tracking and verifying specific subsets of data. In my own time, I also developed a database to be used in conjunction with redaction software to automatically identify and remove commonly occurring terms in documents. My work on these projects prompted an interest in software development, which led me to Nashville Software School. I am interested in using code to make web applications that can increase the ease and efficiency of completing routine tasks and improve the overall user experience.
