The Outdoor Experience Coordinator is responsible for the staffing, operations, materials and programming for the Children’s Museum’s outdoor spaces, including Joy Park, Adventure Forest, the CornerCopia Garden, and Snow Days. Those spaces integrate diverse forms of outdoor and nature play for children and adults to engage in physical challenge, movement, risk-taking and perseverance, as well as visual art exploration. The Outdoor Experience Coordinator works with a team to deliver the Museum’s mission by developing and implementing experiences that address outdoor play equity and proactively engage diverse audiences to connect to the Denver community.

Serves the diverse community of families at the Children's Museum by providing a welcoming environment in the museum's exhibit spaces, and engaging with children and adults to champion the joy and wonder of childhood through unstructured, child-led, and authentic experiences of play, creativity, and exploration. Develops and facilitates digital (social media posts and live video) and in-person programming for early learners and K-12 children, including storytimes, arts education, and STEM outreach.Additional responsibilities include maintaining some of the the biological aspects of the museum's exhibits, including the freshwater aquarium, the vegetable garden compost, and the the hydroponics station.
