I am a happy and strong-willed person. My means of achievement are based on kindness, compassion, and a strong work ethic. I set out to my professional career with a focus on creating positive environmental impact towards reduction in greenhouse gasses and climate change. It starts on the Outer Banks, of NC, where I grew into adulthood. A sad joke about the "sinking island" combined with witnessing the powerful forces of nature during hurricane season. The immense efforts to dredge sand from the ocean floor and keep an island from washing away. The beauty of nature and my appreciation of it - and of course the tourists who carelessly left their trash on the shore. I was introduced to the human impacts on climate change, although at that time we called it global warming. I worked one or more jobs since I was old enough and realized how much time I would spend on education and - even more so - working. I decided that I would dedicate that time and energy to the cause which I am most passionate.It seems the direction of Building Performance made it possible to help people with the quality of lives while simultaneously cutting back on energy use and emissions. Better yet- saving money along the way. This profession accentuates my strengths and goals and is riddled with challenges that I find stimulating.
