Author, publish & update the Collier County Health Department (CCHD) All-Hazards Emergency Operations Plan (EOP).Assist & support the Public Information Officer (PIO) Work with the CCHD Health Education Network to design, develop, coordinate & implement department-wide & site specific education and training regarding EOP .Orchestrate a minimum of 2 department-wide Emergency Preparedness Drills per year. Participate with internal & external task forces, committees, & agencies regarding emergency preparedness including those at the local, regional, & state health department levels. Investigate, research, & make recommendations regarding best practices with respect to emergency preparedness. Ensure all guidelines for emergency preparedness standards are communicated to, & met by, all staff. Assist the CCHD leadership in design, coordination, and implementation of emergency preparedness plans, procedures & training (for internal and external events). Support the implementation & on-going education of the CCHD Incident Command System (ICS) throughout the organization, & the key element of the CCHD Emergency Operations Plan, including the following responsibility areas: Security and Safety, Communications, Training, Operations, Logistics, Planning, Finance & Operations. Provide project management support for committees responsible for developing specific needs associated with various emergency scenarios for external events (trauma, bio-terrorism, chemical, nuclear), & internal events (fire, weather, damaged utilities, etc.) & pediatrics. Develop project plans & time lines for accomplishing outstanding tasks. Identify inconsistencies among plans & propose corrective measures. Identify systems & operational problems & propose solutions. Work to build consensus when departmental response plans diverge. Investigate & research best practices with respect to emergency preparedness, benchmark with other institutions & obtain resource material for review.

Serve as a case manager of families whose children have been abused, neglected or abandoned. Write case summaries, family assessments, case plans and Judicial Reviews; attend Court proceedings and testify under oath; coordinate enrollment of family members into various Court mandated programs and monitor their progress for the Court; complete and maintain all related state documents; provide periodic progress reviews to the Court; and participate in mediation.
