Perform audits and second level Ad- Hoc focused audits, ECS and Acquisition requests; review of medical charts for coding and documentation compliance. In-depth review of records to ensure ICD-10/CPT code assignment is supported by documentation. Provide feedback to coding staff and management on issues, trends and assist leadership in identifying quality.

1. Audit and review medical documentation for appropriate ICD and CPT coding and documentation2. Obtain clarification from Physicians when code assignments are not straightforward or documentation in the record is inadequate, ambiguous, or unclear for coding purposes3. Perform training and education to Physicians for coding, documentation and claim payment.

Review edit and charge review work ques to ensure charges are being appropriately billed out. Review documentation of services by using coding rules to resolve edits. Work payer denials, perform appeals, review accounts for underpayments and coding corrections based on medical reports, research contracts and guidelines. Timely and accurately follow up on.
