Perform audits and second level Ad- Hoc focused audits, ECS and Acquisition requests; review of medical charts for coding and documentation compliance. In-depth review of records to ensure ICD-10/CPT code assignment is supported by documentation. Provide feedback to coding staff and management on issues, trends and assist leadership in identifying quality improvement opportunities. Prepare and distribute provider audit results/reports,as well as provide education to providers regarding audit results. Support in implementing LEAN methodologies. Assist in creating new business processes/workflows. OBGYN, Family Medicine, MD Audit Provider Practice Updateand also coordinate Professional Growth Course for incoming staff.

1. Audit and review medical documentation for appropriate ICD and CPT coding and documentation2. Obtain clarification from Physicians when code assignments are not straightforward or documentation in the record is inadequate, ambiguous, or unclear for coding purposes3. Perform training and education to Physicians for coding, documentation and claim payment guidelines, as well as addressing trends.4. Review CPT and ICD codes annually for accuracy and implementing change.5. Clarify Physician questions and problems related to coding, documentation and billing.6.Perform extensive research and analysis of appeal-data and processes to identify trends and emerging issues, and recommend best practices for maximum performance.7. Provide recommendations to leadership to modify reference materials and processes that do not fully satisfy regulatory or legal compliance related to coding.8. Act as a liaison to other divisions/departments (health management, service, claims) for coding policy and coding/payment issues. 9. On-board new staff on Specialty Specific Coding Guidelines and Epic Resolute functionalities.

Review edit and charge review work ques to ensure charges are being appropriately billed out. Review documentation of services by using coding rules to resolve edits. Work payer denials, perform appeals, review accounts for underpayments and coding corrections based on medical reports, research contracts and guidelines. Timely and accurately follow up on accounts receivables.
