Developed ID processes and created templates to streamline and unify our approach to developing content for customers. The templates, in particular, were adopted by contractors, customers, and even external third parties.Advised customers on learning content development, ensuring they met best practices for learning design and ensuring alignment between their lessons, their branding, and their learning objectives.Produced content within the CMS used by individual customers, collaborating with them through rounds of feedback and revision from initial drafts to the final product. Created sales packages and a scoping process for ID services to ensure contracts with customers were consistent and fairly priced.

Worked with a cross-functional team to write and produce high-visibility learning content. The content was used by different departments in the organization; including marketing, services, and sales; in order to promote product engagement and brand loyalty. Collaborated with internal and external subject matter experts to write and create a customer education curriculum, which taught learners to apply tangible best practices. Partnered with a high-profile university to develop courses for faculty to teach online. Collaborated with faculty SMEs to ensure their content was accurate and well-suited to their preferred teaching styles.Sourced, trained, and managed 5 freelancers, including 3 IDs, a graphic designer, and a copy editor. Assigned tasks to the freelancers and ensured the projects remained on track. This increased our ability to take on customers and resulted in repeat customers who specifically requested their preferred freelancers. Facilitated the migration of courses from Canvas to Blackboard in order to help a university move content to its preferred LMS. Though this migration event was contrary to common trends, the challenge didn’t affect our ability to migrate on time and within budget.

Introduced a streaming media service so that faculty can more easily record live lectures and post them to their online courses for students to later review.Dramatically improved LMS processes, such as the course copy process that occurred each semester. Copying was initially a two-day task that required two people but became a two-hour task that only required one person.Oversaw the hiring, goal-setting, and management of the department’s interns.

Performed quality checks on hundreds of courses each term, ensuring that enough content was in place and that the materials were presented following best practices. Supported numerous academic programs to help faculty to create and facilitate their courses. Was a point of contact for technical and pedagogical support.Redesigned and crafted a certification course that trained faculty to effectively use best practices, pedagogy, and instructional technology. Faculty surveys taken before and after the redesign showed a marked improvement in confidence and comfort with the tools needed to teach online.

Fall River Schools

Created and taught an introductory course for students new to online learning, which oriented students to the tools and skills necessary for succeeding in an online course. The course kept students engaged by presenting content through the lens of their building a fictional business from the ground up.Trained 15 teachers in the district to create and teach online courses with tools available to them. Supported the teachers as they developed their first courses, which resulted in the development of 15 online courses.Wrote and delivered lessons on a daily basis, taking special care to keep lessons fun and engaging. Wrote and oversaw individual education plans for students with disabilities, ensuring they received the accommodations they needed and supporting them when they struggled to reach their goals.
