I’ve been with SurexCARE for over three years in my position as an Administrative Coordinator & Privacy Officer. We are an MCCSS funded non-profit providing housing and support for adults with developmental disabilities. Here, I have been a key player in our effort to modernize our organization. I have developed an LMS from the ground up, transition staff to our new Health Information System, and design training videos for staff. I assist various departments with their administrative needs; creating new tools and forms for Operations, ensuring training is complete and documentation is done for HR, purchasing and documenting expenses, developing an inventory and contributing to the budgeting process for Finance, and supporting the Executive Director with various policy and organizational needs. I support our Managers to ensure their staff have their training complete, they have the tools they need to complete their documentation and that supplies are delivered to their locations on time. I am a regular point of contact for our frontline staff for questions regarding training and technology. I have been a part of the work group which created a new Quality Assurance Management curriculum which will be used sector-wide. My next projects at SurexCARE will be creating and implementing a robust Privacy Program for our organization, and creating cybersecurity training for our frontline staff and management.
