Promoted to a Senior Technical Designer role for expertly interpreting and executing design visionSpec Package Creation/Maintenance: • Oversees all tech packs to ensure Tech packs adhere to company standard • Provides detailed sketches, construction, finishing and BOM information to ensure design is correctly translated by patternmaker and sample sewers. Responsible for keeping all sketches updated and creating trim and fusing logistics for Production. • Updates PAT (our PLM system) as required throughout product lifecycleFittings:• Leads grade fittings and presentation of measurements, construction and material findings of evaluated garment in fitting, noting any discrepancies and/or working with sewers to improve techniques• Offers suggestions and solutions with patternmaker toward approving the garment and collaborates with patternmakers on next steps throughout product lifecycleSampling/Pre-Production: • Schedule: leads creation of salesman sampling schedule and Production Approval schedule according to priority• Spreadsheets: leads seasonal SMS approval/production spreadsheets creation and maintenance including notions/trims• Reviews TOP and test lots each season and accountable for approval or rejection and working with Production/Outside manufacturers to resolve any issues before bulk production.Management and Partners with Cross-Functional Teams: • Works with Department lead to ensure efficient and timely flow of product throughout product lifecycle• Provides training and day to day workflow management of TD team, onboard and trains new hires• Collaborates with designers to ensure Sympli standards are met and maintained season after season • Constant interaction with operations, production, sourcing, design, sales, and factory teams (cutting, sewing, pressing and qc) throughout product lifecycle• Costs garments with Internal and External partners following current process, and exports data to present at pricing meeting

Design Support• Assist in creating new designs each season and initial patterns using Gerber and make any pattern changes to prototypes patterns• Attend design meetings, keep notes and complete tasks based on meetings• Represent design team at weekly production meetings• Attend fittings and complete technical changes, keep notes and assist pattern makers with samples through product approval process• Assist sample coordinator with line list, merchandising groups and any other materials needed to get together sample lines for reps. Be a relief in sample coordinator's absence• Coordinate and document test lots approvals for production ready styles, communicate with production when styles are approved and resolve any production problems with manufacturing and pattern making departmentsCosting• Do initial sewing costing of new garments and ensure all cost information is gathered on time and accurate for all cross department partners and managers• Compiling costing information and notion information together for production team to product cost cardsSpec Packages• Create technical drawings and spec packages for all styles in the line each season• Document and update spec packages routinely as needed throughout season until designs are finalized for productionFabric and Notions• Keep track of new materials arriving, sorting, organizing and filing in sourcing room• Follow through on approval for new colors, fabrics and notions from initial sourcing with sourcing manager to designers and to final production stage with operations department• Perform relative comprehensive testing for new fabrics, color combinations and materials including pill testing, wear and wash testing and shrinkage testing

• Started my own business working on custom design projects and small run production. • Project based contract design work spanning over a broad spectrum of garments• Previous projects include creating prom dresses, tailoring a highly embroidered Indian wedding outfit, creating bridesmaids dresses, and Indian garments and formal evening attire• Draft custom block for clients and create pattern for client specific garment• Sew muslin for initial fitting of custom designed garment and execute all new changes for second and third fittings: modify patterns and perform alterations in a timely matter to meet client deadlines effectively and efficiently• Complete handmade artwork as needed for specific garments including original embroidery and beading designs and graphic printing
