About Robbie Harrell

Minnesota Ice was an idea born in a one-car garage while I was in college. Today, we are the nation's largest manufacturer of sculpture-grade ice and the Midwest leader in artisan ice cube production. It took a lot to get here. After years of working in the ice industry, I saw opportunities to do things better. We found ways to use high-accuracy machining to create sculptures, providing customers with a high-quality product at a lower price point. Our sculptures have since created memorable experiences at all kinds of events — from weddings and business conferences to the Super Bowl. Since those early days, I’ve never stopped chasing new ways to innovate and problem-solve while pursuing new opportunities. Our Pure & Clear cocktail ice is elevating the beverage experience in restaurants, bars and homes all over the country. We set the standard for excellence in our industry — because we know that great ice is the foundation for a great experience.Creating memorable moments for people is a huge motivating factor in our growth. I think everyone, no matter where they live, should be able to experience ice sculptures and the joy of an ice maze experience. I'm excited about our plans to take these experiences to cities across the country to showcase the hard work, dedication and incredible talent our industry has to offer. Since those early days in the garage, our success can be attributed to three things: willingness to work hard, innovation at every turn and a team driven to be the best.
