The samples were taken from depths of 600-1000 m and contained an incredible diversity of life. Habitat complexity is known to be a major driver of diversity within the deep sea. Therefore, I used statistical software, such as R studio and PRIMER V7, to calculate functional diversity and to conduct biological trait analysis over a habitat complexity gradient, across two cross-mound transects of the Haas Mound. Habitat complexity was measured by measuring the volume of coral framework collected from each site. I was honoured to present my findings at the 16th Deep-Sea Biology Symposium in Brest, France, in September 2021.The skills I have learnt throughout my studies include benthic taxonomy, marine fisheries management and population biology, habitat ecology and coastal surveying, environmental impact assessment, socio-economic questionnaire design and integrated coastal-zone management. I have been teaching architecture workshops to students in Year 12 and Year 13 in Holyhead, Anglesey, to help support my studies. Workshops include future careers, model-making and site analysis.

I really enjoyed my time at LDA-Design, in both the Oxford and London offices. I worked on many major projects, including the Heathrow West Masterplan and Blackwall Yard development in East London. As a landscape architect, I was involved in project management, creative design and research and analysis. My experience at Bath university has been very valuable to me. Architecture is an extremely challenging degree, with hard and fast deadlines and challenging workloads. The architecture BSc at Bath is one of the most highly regarded architecture courses in the world. Therefore, I was amongst incredibly bright and talented peers, pushing me to challenge myself and to learn from others.
