Dr. Harriet Berry is a specialist in Plant Molecular Biology and Biochemistry, with a PhD from Royal Holloway, University of London. Since 2015, she has worked as a research scientist, building extensive expertise in carotenoids. She has also led international training schools on carotenoid and metabolite analysis, attracting students from around the globe.Recently, Dr. Berry co-founded Natural Compound Solutions (NATCOM) with Professor Paul Fraser, focusing on producing sustainable, plant-derived carotenoids. NATCOM aims to provide eco-friendly alternatives to synthetic compounds, helping industries like cosmetics, supplements, food, and feed transition away from environmentally harmful chemicals.Recently awarded the ICURe Explore programme with Innovate UK, Dr. Berry is actively exploring potential markets for NATCOM’s bio-based pigments.
