Departed Fort Lauderdale, FL, in a 38' sailing boat with the aim of arriving in Antigua before the start of hurricane season. On the way we passed through the Bahamas, Cuba, the Turks and Caicos, the Dominican Republic, nearly sank in the Mona Passage, then Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, Saint Martin, St Barts, St Kitts and Nevis, Monserrat, Barbuda and finally Antigua.

Structural engineer working within the AECOM Sports team. Responsibilities included design and coordination of grandstand and back of house areas for stadium and arena developments.Carried out extensive work to enhance the team's ability to assess the dynamic performance of grandstand structures.I have also carried out the design of complex temporary installations, including the 2013 Serpentine Pavilion. The structure was a Vierendeel space frame constructed from members with almost negligible moment capacity. The design, fabrication and construction had to be completed within a four month programme. Responsibilities included development of the architectural scheme through to completion, detailed design of steelwork, development of fabrication details for nodes and testing of mock ups, coordination with architect and fabricator.

Design of substructure works including pits for in-floor and surface-mounted lifting jacks. − 99 BishopsgateStructural fire engineering project to justify reduced fire protection for the extensive refurbishment works for Hammerson. Carried out detailed time-dependent floor-plate and sub-frame analyses during fire scenarios to justify the inherent structural redundancy and avoid adding costly fire protection.− Marriotts and Lonsdale SchoolsDelivery of £35m combined development for two new schools as part of the Hertfordshire BSF scheme. Management of project throughout construction stage.
