My role on the board of trustees at SCLA is to support in deciding and implementing the vision of the organisition. The vision to empower, enable and equip people from all walks of life with the capability to maintain wellbeing, succeed and thrive.

Since qualifying as a personal trainer in 2010 I have continued to work with specific clients alongside other business endeavors. Maintaining up to date experience of working with people on a 1 to 1 basis to improve their physical and mental wellbeing is vital for me to ensure I remain current in the work I do. - Introduced the Member Engagement Programme to the UK Market. - Formed partnerships with key organisations within the UK Fitness industry. - Worked directly with studios, gyms and leisure centres to increase member retention and grow PT business.

The fun stuff:• Drove 3,500 miles across India in a motorized rickshaw.• Persuaded a fisher man in Myanmar to take us down the Irrawaddy at sunset. • Quick pit stop in Thailand.• Meet up with the chimpanzees in Indonesia.• Scaled mountains and volcanoes across Asia. Back to business:• Immersed myself in the Australian fitness industry for 12 months.• Built a PT client base of 36 regular clients.• Started working with the already established Member Engagement Program and was offered the opportunity to bring the product back to the UK and launch to the market. To finish off:• A month in a camper van exploring New Zealand before heading back to re-ignite my career within the UK.

 Directly line manage eight training consultants across the UK and small administration team. Ensure effective caseloads are maintained by each training consultant.  Development and implementation of performance appraisal process, CPD training structure and KPI monitoring.  Implement and enforce quality and compliance strategy. Overall responsibility for both work-based learning and commercial provision. Implement and oversee employer and learner engagement strategy.  Safeguarding, Prevent and British Values officer. Manage relations and partnerships with employers, funding partners and learners. Implement and enforce day to day policies and procedures.  Develop and implement learner recruitment strategy nationally. www.fituk.info

 Manage a team of eight training consultants nationally.  Maintain own caseload of 30 apprentices. Manage employer engagement and learner recruitment.  Oversee learner journey from recruitment to completion. Set and implement training consultant KPI’s.  Mentor and assess e-learning.  Safeguarding officer.

 Intermediate and Advanced Apprenticeship tutor and assessor. Health, fitness and exercise, leisure management, leisure operations, supporting PE and school sport and activity leadership. Teaching and assessing all framework elements including NVQ, knowledge qualification, functional skills, employment rights and responsibilities, PLTS and wider learning.  Maintain a high caseload, managing up to 66 learners nationally.  Teach and assess first aid qualifications predominantly First Aid at Work, Emergency First Aid at Work and Paediatric First Aid both to learners on apprenticeship’s and commercial courses.  Employer and learner engagement in order to maintain full caseload as well as support business development for the company as a whole.
