Harriet is Shimmy Shimmy Ya's Principal and Founder. Harriet discovered dance 32 years ago and hasn't stopped since. From winning a scholarship and performing all over the world (from New York, Paris and London to Berlin and Seoul) and performing with The Australian Ballet, Opera Australia, Chunky Move, Lucy Guerin Inc and Belvior St Theatre - dancing has always been in Harriet's blood.It was this passion for dance that led Harriet to create Shimmy Shimmy Ya: a mobile dance company, making it accessible for people to express themselves through movement. And after years of witnessing these classes empower people and receiving an overwhelming amount of positive feedback - it became clear this model would also have a positive impact in the workplace.With burnout becoming more and more prevalent in today's corporate culture, Harriet decided to design dance classes specifically with team building in mind.The Shimmy Shimmy Ya corporate classes aim to increase energy and trigger creativity, as well as boosting employees' self-esteem and reducing stress.Classes and choreography can be tailored to any level or group size and are guaranteed to put smiles on your teams' faces.
