· Worked under Molly Rysman, Supervisor Kuehl’s Housing and Homelessness Deputy.· Wrote the preamble to a motion to expand the capacity of the conservatorship system in Los Angeles County and enhance the services provided by the County Department of Mental Health’s Office of the Public Guardian. · Collaborated with staff of the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority in drafting a policy entitled “Equal Access in Accordance with an Individual’s Gender Identity in the Los Angeles Continuum of Care,” to ensure that clients receive equal access to shelters and other homeless services, regardless of gender identity.· Participated in street outreach to homeless individuals, with a multidisciplinary outreach team, and assisted members of Supervisor Kuehl’s staff in planning the annual Malibu Homeless Connect Day, in partnership with nonprofit service providers.· Compiled research and prepared briefing documents about topics including board and care facilities in Los Angeles County and homelessness prevention programs.
