I'm extremely motivated individual who loves design that serves a purpose, inclusive and user-centred. Understanding “the why” people do what they do, and bringing together current technologies and best practices to fulfil a business and users needs combined. 16 years industry experience, splitting my time between Avon Fire & Rescue Service and my own clients as an independent design consultant. My experience and interest is working specifically within the blue light, social enterprises, charity’s, and public sector bodies that do good in particular. I also participate in Government Digital Service (GDS) research, providing user feedback on services. I design with meaning to achieve optimal user experience. Working within an agile environment, I research, look at data, and talk people to understand users needs and identify service failures through Service Design methodology, leading teams to optimising the most suitable outcomes for clients or in house teams. Positive about driving forward change, innovation and improvements across an organisation as well as championing inclusion and accessibility across digital and physical environments.Specialties: Dyslexic thinker, digital design (Mobile App's and Websites), product management, service design brand identity creation and communication, literature design, photography, illustrationI currently volunteer for Engaged Communities C.I.C. to support their product development for GoVolunteering software.
