Director of the Regulatory Division providing executive leadership for the agency and leading the Commission's Regulatory Program, which includes investigating, evaluating, and recommending actions on all permit applications, consistency determinations and plan reviews, as well as administering the Commission's regulations.

Deputy executive responsible for Planning Division operations, budgeting, and strategic planning. Leads the major initiatives of the Division and policy development at the intersection of land use planning, environmental science, and climate resilience. Prepares and translates complex scientific studies for the general public and decision-makers, as well as creating policies and strategies that are implementable. Works on planning issues related to equity, land use compatibility, climate change, flood management, water policy, agricultural protection, and urban development. Manages extensive outreach programs that brings together diverse interests to reach common ground.

Managed the Community Planning Program that includes running operations, budgeting, business planning, setting goals and identifying priorities for Northern California. Managed large, multi-disciplinary teams to prepare a variety of land use plans including general plans, zone code updates, and specific plans, as well as planning studies that addressed housing development barriers, economic development, gentrification, transit-oriented development and urban infill. Worked on a variety of CEQA documents and climate resilient plans. Most of this work included extensive stakeholder and community engagement efforts.

Managed and prepared comprehensive general plan updates, specific plans, other planning and land use studies and associated environmental documents throughout the State of California. Worked on agricultural preservation and flood management issues and development policies to address challenges.

Prepared various sections of CEQA documents, including initial studies/mitigated negative declarations and Environmental Impact Reports (EIRs) in the Southern California region. Assisted in marketing efforts and served as Deputy Project Manager on EIRs.

Prepared various sections of CEQA and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documents for a variety of projects in the Sacramento region and Central Valley.
