Leading and expanding Camden's newly established Public Health Intelligence team. Recruiting quantitative and qualitative analysts, setting up processes for robust analysis, establishing access to NHS datasets and progressing key pieces of intelligence for the Health & Wellbeing department

Lead the development of the clinical registries programme, collaborating with system-wide stakeholders, the digital team and third-party provider (OracleCerner) to scope and deliver new registries within a population health management platform (HealtheIntent). Responsible for the creation of a strategic product pipeline and oversaw full product life cycle for each registry and supporting analytic dashboards. Lead on population health analytics for long term conditions. Managed team developing suite of analytics to support holistic care of multimorbid patients in line with local strategic priorities and contractual levers for primary care. Worked with Local Authority system partners to scope and develop analytics that embed population health in their services (e.g. to prioritise social housing repairs for households clinically vulnerable to damp and mould).

Supported initial engagement work around population health management with stakeholders that the HealtheIntent project required in the startup phase (e.g. Clinical Leads, GP Federations, Quality Improvement Teams). Built support for new, complex, evolving technology among non-technical partners with concerns about how it would impact their working lives.Led on the set up, testing and deployment of four ‘off the shelf’ clinical registries developed by our commercial partner for paediatric asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, diabetes and atrial fibrillation.

Worked with senior stakeholders (e.g. Councillors, Service Heads, Strategy Leads) to understand their intelligence requirements, agree project timescales and help them understand and use intelligence outputs (e.g. Camden Commission factsheets, borough JSNA). Lead a multi-organisational team to analyse Adult Social Care data (linked financial and activity data) across three Local Authorities, including overcoming organisational, technical, legal and cultural barriers. Lead a team of public health analysts to support the Chalcots Estate evacuation Gold Team with real-time intelligence for decision making as the emergency unfolded.

Prederi provided expert advice, consultancy, training and project and programme management. I worked collaboratively with NHS and LA clients to solve the challenges they face in their organisations and operating environments, helping them to set the right strategies, develop pragmatic plans, deliver change, develop capability and address operational issues. Projects included:- Launching Future Generation, Newham CCG’s vehicle for a co-designing children’s health and social care services- Developing primary care transformation strategies and subsequent STP chapters for three CCGs- Developing a clinical services strategy for two merging hospital trusts- Project managing a strategic review of a Public Health Department

Project managed teams of Analysts and Information Officers to deliver increasingly complex epidemiological analyses (e.g. intelligence profiles using linked primary and secondary care data). Developed my skill at interpreting data analysis, synthesising data from a variety of sources, including qualitative and quantitative data. Produced information for action for decision makers in a variety of written and visual formats (including needs assessments, briefings, profiles, reports, infographics and fact sheets). Became skilled at presenting and discussing analysis with stakeholders across health and local government.

Learned how to carry out robust, efficient and repeatable analysis that incorporated quality assurance processes throughout, using standardised tools and statistical techniques. Became highly skilled at Excel, Access, SQL and MapInfo GIS software. Developed knowledge of wide variety of health data sets (e.g. SUS, HES, Primary Care Mortality Database, ONS births and deaths data, cancer registry data). Worked on the build, quality assurance and analysis of Islington’s GP Public Health Dataset, one of the first population level datasets created nationally.
