Ayshford Sansome Architects are a small practice based in Essex specialising in commercial builds. I joined the team of 15 again after completing my Part I studies. I have worked with the team to help deliver the new Mercedes-Benz car showroom and workshop in Epsom, London and the Sytner Mercedes-Benz dealership in Carlisle. Throughout both projects I have gained valuable site experience by attending weekly site visits, liaising with subcontractors to compile construction issue drawings and taking part in meetings with the client to resolve finer details of the project. The latest project I am a part of is a fit out of a manufacturing hall in Essex, the brief is creative and we are having fun designing an agile workspace and pulling together the tender pack.Following my final design project at University I was asked to put on a straw bale construction CPD at Ayshford Sansome Architects. The evening was a great success.

I worked with Ayshford Sansome Architects for placement as part of my University degree. During the three months I developed my skills in Archicad to compile drawings pre-planning for car dealerships around London. This involved working with members of the office team to design car showrooms, MOT workshops and office quarters. I also attended site visits, created stunning visuals and compiled site analysis brochures.

I drew up the plans and elevations for The Long Barn to be converted into a three bed self catering cottage. Planning permission was received in early summer and the renovation took place over 5 months. I liaised with the builders, electrician, plumber and other trades throughout the build. I also helped out on site with painting and sourcing, designing, up-cycling and installing furniture and interior decorations. The project was completed in September ready for the first guests.

I worked at Robert Hutson Architects for three months for a placement as a part of my Part I studies. The practice works predominantly on residential projects. Working with the team I used Photoshop extensively, developing a presentation style for their 3D and elevational representations. Additionally I carried out research into new housing types to create a brochure showcasing a range of potential 1 - 4 bed house types and street layouts. I also drew up a series of bespoke handcrafted furniture for display on their website.

Working in a large team I waitressed in Bath's Student Union Bar and supervised the entrance stand at the annual summer ball.

I volunteered at this open farm for two years before becoming employed. I helped care for the animals and worked as a part of a team to put on demonstrations for the public.
