Designed and implemented legal research and writing curriculum for all incoming Assistant District Attorneys (ADAs); teach multiple courses relating to effective research and writing techniques in connection with grand jury, trial practice, and post-conviction motions; serve as appellate counsel to trial teams in complex cases, including People v. Harvey Weinstein and People v. Pedro Hernandez (1979 murder and kidnapping of 8-year old Etan Patz).

Authored several hundred briefs and orally argued approximately 50 appeals before U.S. Court of Appeals for Eleventh Circuit, including cases raising constitutional and statutory issues of first impression; provided ongoing trial support, legal counsel, and training on wide variety of issues, including sentencing guidelines, post-conviction proceedings, rules of evidence, and impact of Supreme Court and Circuit decisions; served as Special Counsel on the United States Sentencing Commission from 2008-2009.

Taught Evidence, Criminal Procedure, Ethics; created law school’s first Criminal Prosecution Clinic, supervising third-year law students in representation of State of Ohio in criminal proceedings.

Tried numerous felony cases to verdict; authored appellate briefs and argued cases before New York appellate courts.
