I'm a professional organizer specializing in the needs of Senior Citizens who are faced with changing circumstances. Sometimes they are faced with closing out a family home. Sometimes they intend to age-in-place but need to accommodate restricted mobility issues. I work with them and their families to help them be satisfied with the decisions they make about what to do with their "stuff". What do they want to take with them? Will it all fit in the new place? What do they want to do with the things they are not going to bring with them? Can family members help with the process? Do they want the things their parents want to give them? I help to plan the move and facilitate all the actions that have to come together. I consider the job a success if the participants can see the process as one of bestowing a legacy of possessions and wisdom as well as paring down a life and a home to a manageable size.Specialties: I offer workshops to Senior Citizen groups on the downsizing process and how to have a conversation with your nearest and dearest about who wants/who gets the personal possessions to avoid the strife that often sets in when such decisions are made in a time of crisis.
