Last year I was voted by my peers in Politics to sit as the Politics Subject Chair. My role includes: -Help create positive change in their subject primarily by overseeing their subject’s Student Staff Liaison Committee (SSLC), -Be the key liaison point between the student body, FXU and College staff on academic related matters.-Representing Politics through attendance at Student Council.-Attend Subject Chair Working Group and meetings with the Director of Education as required.

During my second year of University I took a team of students to Prague to run the Prague Marathon supporting Meningitis Research Foundation. During my time as Challenge Leader I was responsible for recruiting students on campus to sign up. Helping each of them throughout the months with support for training as well as providing and supporting opportunities to raise the £1200 required for taking part of the challenge. It was a great success with all of the team coming to Prague and finishing the marathon, despite of the 22 degree heat!
