In May of 2021 I started a pet sitting business. I have regular clients, repeat clients, and my business has spread by word of mouth.

I created lesson plans, and made "props" using a laminator and color printer. I sang the "Good Morning" song with choreography,then conducted a "mini lesson" before the "wiggle break". The mini lesson concentrates on phonology first, then the skill or standard that we are focusing on for that week. Lessons also focus on finding patterns, and fun repetition exercises that build up anticipation and excitement. A good example of this is the song, "We're going on a bear hunt". Whenever possible, I like to tie in learning with popular culture that the kids are familiar with. For example, I might make vocabulary flash cards that are themed around their favorite cartoon. This gets the kids immediately excited, which is always a good thing when it comes to retaining information. I wrote very long and tedious assessments for the parents. I made speeches at parent orientation conventions, and even danced with my students on stage.
