Ebony Harris serves as Associate Counsel for the Minnesota Vikings where she supports all business units of the Minnesota Vikings, its subsidiaries, and affiliates business interests in legal and regulatory matters. Previously, she served as Counsel & Assistant Vice President of Law, Compliance and Government Relations for GK Venture Partners LLC (“GK”) where she ensured legal compliance with laws and regulations, advised business partners on various legal issues, facilitated business strategy development, limited risk exposure, and managed outside counsel. Before joining GK, Ebony served as a Corporate & Securities Attorney at Jackson Walker LLP where her practice focused on counseling private and public companies in connection with joint ventures, private placements of securities, corporate restructurings, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, and general corporate matters.Outside of work, Ebony maintains her commitment to public service by remaining active in the Laurel, Maryland, Dallas, Texas, and New Jersey/NYC communities. Ebony has served as a committee member for the city of Laurel’s Back 2 School Family Festival where she oversaw the graphic designing of all marketing and sponsorship collateral. In addition, Ebony is an alumni member of the Dallas Mayor’s Star Council. Currently, Ebony serves as a mentor to several law students and business professionals. She maintains an active membership in the State Bar of Texas, the Sports Lawyers Association, WISE, and BESLA. Ebony has been recognized by her hometown, Laurel, Maryland, as a community leader. She was presented with the Community Person of the Year Award by the President of the Laurel Board of Trade and the Mayor for her continued support of community initiatives in the city of Laurel. Additionally, she is an alumni member of the United States Olympic Committee’s F.L.A.M.E 2010 co-hort. Ebony holds both a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Science degree in Sport Management from Barry University (Miami Shores, FL) where she graduated with honors. She earned her Juris Doctor from the honorable Thurgood Marshall School of Law (Houston, TX) where she graduated summa cum laude.
