Worked with Federal executives to build solutions to their strategy, management andimplementation problems. Broadly adaptable, both teamwork-oriented, leading tasks and teams, as well as capable of self-management and direction. The skills I honed focused on Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), the U.S. Treasury (Treasury), and the Department of Commerce. While these very different agencies have unique requirements and cultures, the deliverables I created for my clients are part of a theme of success that display a broad range of skill sets including: strategic communications, performance management & measurement, and planning & implementation.

As a consultant with SRA International, I served two major roles: Special Assistant and Program Coordinator to the Director of the Air Force Business Group; and as a Consultant within the Touchstone Consulting Group to the DHS Office of Emergency Communications. As the Assistant to the Director and Program Coordinator I designed and executed the pilot internal communications strategy (200+ employee, $50 million area of business) on behalf of the Vice President. This included portal design, facilitated sessions (between leadership and throughout the business area), reward initiatives and information sharing across the Defense business groups. As the Assistant and Coordinator I also served as the liaison for the Business Area Vice President, partnering with the Account leads, Human Resources, Recruiting, Finance and Corporate Leadership. As a Consultant to DHS I served as the Regional Implementation Lead, this role chiefly served as the direct point of contact and coordination to the Federal Emergency Management Agency Regions V and VIII Regional Coordinators to develop relationships, implement strategies, and provide stakeholder support to fulfill Federal mandates (the National Emergency Communications Plan Goals).

As an Intern with the Washington Meetings Program within the Council, I was responsible for conducting research on current topics in U.S. foreign policy to help shape upcoming programs and membership forums. Additionally on a day-to-day basis I assisted with all facets of meeting organization, including drafting invitation and confirmation letters, compiling biographies, making follow-up calls to meeting participants as well as supporting live-meeting logistics.

My daily responsibilities within the Congressional Office focused on research of legislative issues, with a concentration on the economy, energy and health care. During my time in this role I received training from the Law Library of Congress and Congressional Research Service. Additionally, I drafted letters of outreach and responses from members of the congressional district and led informational tours of the Capitol to visiting constituents.
