My role as a Director of sales and marketing (DOSM) for hotels and resorts I've worked for, consisted of being the Strategic Business Leader of the hotel’s Sales and Marketing department. To make it simple to understand, my focus was on the properties, proactive account sales, segment sales, local and social catering sales, business travel sales, reactive sales, reservation sales and destination sales.My success as an effective DOSM is attributed to my ability to achieve revenue goals, guest and staff satisfaction targets and the financial performance of the business. I haveimplemented brand as well as independent service strategies and applicable initiatives in all aspects of the Sales process. I've trained my team on how to generate also evaluate leads on-property sales functions to build long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievements of hotel sales and objectives. I also evaluated the hotel’s/resorts participation in various sales channels; such as, market sales, event booking centers, electronic lead channels and developed strong working relationships to maximize benefits for the hotels/resorts.My experience also consists of property positioning. I have developed and managed marketing budgets to enable growth of the hotel/resorts specific campaigns, promotions, collateral, etc. As a member of the executive committee, I established and executed strategies that delivered products and services to meet and exceed the needs and expectations of targeted customers’ profiles and property associates which provided a return on investment.
