Dissertation Writing Centre tutor. Within a team of four PhD students, I supported master’s students undertaking their dissertations, in the form of weekly one-to-one meetings made available over a three-month period.-> Provided students with support/guidance in key areas such as the dissertation writing process, dissertation structure, data collection, research methods, critical engagement with literature, and research ethics.-> Shared responsibility for the promotion of the Dissertation Writing Centre and our weekly availability across different departmental module pages on the university’s Blackboard platform.-> Received commendation from senior lecturers on the running of the Dissertation Writing Centre.

-> Provided support for a wide range of students across the university in terms of notetaking, scribing, reading and practical support (in-person and online).-> Successfully navigated challenges of notetaking and support in diverse range of subjects, most of which I had no prior expertise in.

As part of a group of four PhD students, I prepared and adapted teaching materials and independently delivered seminars on the master’s module 'Research Skills' (through face-to-face sessions and online sessions).-> Engaged students in seminar content in a manner where they felt comfortable to share their thoughts with their peers in small group discussion, in addition to whole group discussion.-> Responded to student questions/concerns during class and via email about lecture/seminar content, assignments, academic practice, and research ethics, among other issues.-> Managed logistics of running seminars in line with social-distancing and health measures which remained in place at university during the pandemic.
