For my senior capstone project, I worked closely with Healthy Design Ltd. to develop a video game controller for patients in the ICU to help assist the patient in regaining finer motor functions, while tracking patient recovery. This project relied heavily on knowledge of electrical engineering as well as 3D modeling and printing. This project also required the group to work closely with Champlain College, who were also working on this project, and proper communication between the university groups. I served as both the scrum master and financial officer for this project, meaning I was in charge of all scheduling, inter-university communication, organization, and financial decisions.

For my honors thesis I developed a more efficient and effective method for tracking 3D bone positioning and orientation in fluoroscopic imaging than motion capture and dual-fluoroscopy model-based tracking. This research afforded me a number of research skills as well as a greater appreciation and motivation to pursue research as a component of my career. Additionally, this research required considerable technical skills in coding, human physiology and 3D modeling, as well as self-motivation and educating myself on any aspects of the research that were unfamiliar to me. I learned how to communicate over multiple disciplines, handle a high workload while producing quality results, and become proficient in ​the application of MATLAB, Seg3D and C-Motion software.
