Responsibilities:• Calibration of various electronic sensors, transducers, display and gauge equipment used in plant ventilation systems, plant equipment and adjust various critical plant and process equipment safety and alarm set points in accordance with traceable standards, specifications and procedures.• Promote strong safety culture, including conducting safety risk assessments and developing SWMS.• Undertake additional duties within the group as priorities permit and during staff absences of other staff.• Undertake calibration work maintaining the traceable integrity of the calibration, ensuring compliance with relevant Australian Standards, quality and safety procedures and instructions and other statutory requirements.• Review and identify opportunities to improve and ensure quality control and compliance, including participating in internal and external audits.• Undertake routine calibrations to set maintenance schedules, and utilise systems downtimes to conduct instrument changeovers, diagnose faults and implement corrective actions, including the relocation and calibration of radiation instruments across ANSTO.• Perform all work related in compliance with TGA, ARPANSA requirements and applicable ANSTO standards, procedures and instructions.• Review and organise day to day work schedules and activities to manage conflicting priorities and meet customer requirements.• Supervise, mentor and train more junior team members to ensure they gain the skills, knowledge and experience to perform the calibration technician role independently• Use expertise and plant experience to assess and provide feedback to management and clients.• Support and contribute to the development of preventative and condition based maintenance programs• Drive continuous improvement by encouraging and sharing knowledge and experience within and across business units.

Responsibilities:• Perform electrical maintenance activities, on time, within budget and in compliance with quality and safety standards.• Manufacture, assemble, test, install and commission electrical equipment and spare parts for use in a production environment.• Preparation and maintenance of documentation including maintenance procedures, equipment specifications, data sheets, and P&ID’s to achieve operational reliability, quality assurance, safety and regulatory compliance.• Work with production operators to troubleshoot problems and present novel solutions which are aimed at reducing costs, increasing reliability, capability and maintaining product quality• Organise work and manage conflicting priorities including managing stakeholder expectations in relation to maintenance of plant and equipment.• Apply theoretical knowledge and practical experience to analyse and develop solutions to unforseen technical or other production issues.• Contribute, using technical knowledge and experience, to maintenance systems and development projects to enhance the production facility in a continuous improvement environment. Implement agreed enhances as required.• Proactively contribute to continuous improvement and 5S activities.• Assist on the identification of WHS risks in relation to maintenance and production activities and ensure work is carried out safely.
