Born and raised in the great state of Oklahoma, my name is Harrison Dunlap. I grew up in the suburbs of Oklahoma City and have my heart set on bringing about improvements and new development in my community. This is a state that has an opportunity for massive growth. For my undergraduate degree, I attended the University of Oklahoma Gallogly College of Engineering where I studied Mechanical Engineering and earned a minor in Mathematics. During this time I was a four year member of the Pride of Oklahoma, a member of the President's Leadership Class, a brother in Beta Upsilon Chi, and a Dean's Honor Roll Student. This degree path was the first step in preparing me for the ever-changing industries in Oklahoma.Following my undergraduate degree, I attended the Gene Rainbolt Graduate School of Business at the University of Oklahoma. I earned both a Master's degree in Business Administration and in Management of Information Technologies. While in this dual program, I had taken on the roles of Rainbolt Student Ambassador, Graduate Assistant, and Graduate College Tutor. This step in my education was taken to put me further down the path towards becoming a real influence in the trajectory of Oklahoma as a national competitor in the job market.I have been working as an Engineer-in-Training at the City of Oklahoma City, Utilities Department learning and growing daily. Under the supervision of a strong team of experienced engineers, I have had the opportunity to dive into the world of municipal water and wastewater treatment, collection, and distribution. Day by day, I am working with operators and other functional departments in Utilities to grow my understanding of how engineering design and considerations impact those who make do the behind-the-scenes work that keeps the world running.
