● Incident Management: Handle escalations from NOC Tier 1 team including deepertroubleshooting of incidents, fault isolation, workaround implementation, and RFO (reason foroutage) investigation, analysis, and reporting.● Problem Management: Proactively review equipment logs, equipment status, tickets, and alarms. Usethis information to find and fix network or equipment problems before they become incidents.Recommend network design or implementation changes to improve network reliability.● Under direction from the network engineering team, propose and implement moves, adds, changes, or deletions (MACDs) to client networks and update necessary documentation to reflect changes.● Where possible, act as a mentor to other NOC staff in their technical or functional development. ● As needed, provide procedures and/or instruction on networking technologies for clients andinternal staff.● Maximize customer network performance by identifying performance issues such as degradation,congestion, and suspected misconfiguration, and working with INOC Engineers or Service Transitionto convey those issues.● Continually improve job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, readingprofessional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professionalorganizations.● Maximize personal effectiveness using communications with NOC Manager, NOC leads,engineering staff, and personal time and task management where applicable.● Provide network design and implementation assistance in support of network expansion/improvement.
