I completed my first seat in Hogan Lovells' Commercial Litigation (Product Liability and Insurance) team. During my time in this team I worked on varied matters. These ranged from assisting in complex large-scale proceedings in the UK Supreme Court and High Court, to owning the conduct of claims in the County Court. This involved the drafting of skeleton arguments, witness statements and other court documents, as well as instructing counsel and conducting negotiations on behalf of clients.My second seat was as part of Hogan Lovells' esteemed Global Regulatory team within the Competition and Public Law team. My work within this team encompassed legal tasks across transactional, advisory and litigious matters and mirrored my interests in the intersection between governance, corporate relationships and the wider political environment. Much of my time was spent working on the new screening regime introduced by the UK's National Security and Investment Act 2021. I assisted with the completion of numerous notifications to the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy, as well as working with my team to create processes through which Hogan Lovells' future work in the national security sector would be undertaken.I also undertook work in various other traditional competition matters. Transactional work included the production of a merger notice to the CMA for a proposed large-scale corporate merger and the provision of multi-jurisdictional advice for a number of potential concentrations. I also worked on a large-scale litigation involving an alleged breach of the Competition Act 1998's Chapter II prohibition of abuse of a dominant position and an appeal to the General Court of the European Union.

In the role of National Account Manager for Boots, I worked across two of the biggest strategic categories for L’Oreal - Men’s and Everyday Skincare. This entailed account management of the leading Men’s skincare brand in the market, L’Oreal Men Expert, and the dynamic Garnier skincare; a brand committed to making natural beauty accessible to all. I looked after a multi-million pound business, targeted on revenue production and customer satisfaction.During my time at L'Oréal I also negotiated the multi-million pound annual suncare deal, the Christmas gifting deal and managed the cosmetics business within Sainsbury's.

After stepping off the graduate scheme, I moved into a short term role as National Account Executive for all Cosmetics in Sainsbury’s. This involves managing both the L’Oreal Paris Cosmetics and Maybelline brands in all stores.After 4 months I moved into a permanent role looking after the Men’s, Suncare and Gifting categories within the Boots account team.

During my first rotation with Matrix in the Professional Products Division I worked on the launch of the first cohesive digital platform within the professional haircare sector, as well as managing the store execution of the highly anticipated Biolage R.A.W. campaign. For my second rotation I worked with the Consumer Market Insights team to deliver analytical recommendations that put the consumer and the shopper at the heart of L'Oréal's business strategies. I developed and helped lead projects for shopper e-UX, M&A, e-listening and brand perception. During this rotation I was trained on, and regularly used: Nielsen, Kantar, Brandwatch, market research studies and Mintel.During my final rotation, I broadened my business exposure and experience by moving into a Commercial role, working with L’Oreal Paris Cosmetics on the A.S.Watson account. During this time we launched the brand’s biggest Face event to date, delivering double digit YoY growth against the strongest period of L’Oreal Paris Cosmetics sales in 2017. This also involved an online bespoke microsite on Superdrug.com and the most personalised product kits ever created with Superdrug. This project spanned across various different sectors of the business: finance, supply, sales, merchandising, e-commerce and marketing alongside all of the requisite functions within the retailer too.
