Customer Service Manager
Leading technical teams across the Micro Nav business (matrix management environment), including the effective management of sub-contractors/external service providers, to ensure all Micro Nav Customer Services are delivered in a timely manner and in accordance with the warranty, support contracts and/or related SLAs. This will include:• Conducting customer site visits to customer locations globally throughout the year.• Completing the initial investigation (and where possible resolution) of customer-raised Product issues and to provide advice to Customers regarding the resolution of raised issues that are not assessed as being due to a fault.• Assigning, investigating and progressing helpdesk tickets through to resolution in a timely manner and ensure that customers are kept informed on progress on a regular basis. This includes using (and updating on a day to day basis) the Micro Nav ticket management system.• Creating and maintaining adequate records for assigned customers services contracts, including but not limited to: Licence Status and Software, Hardware, 3rd party systems and Data Configuration. This includes using (and updating on a day to day basis) the Micro Nav Customer Services portal.• Monitoring, reporting and ultimately improving the financial performance of the assigned support contracts. Responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date customer services revenue and cost forecasts and ensuring that all Micro Nav customer invoicing are completed in a timely fashion This includes using (and updating on a day to day basis) the Micro Nav project management system.• Managing Customer Support builds (Licences, Software, Hardware and Data) throughout their development lifecycle(s), this includes supervision of the build planning, release and deployment processes conducted within the Engineering teams.
Air Traffic Control Senior Operations Engineer
• Managing and controlling all operational activities undertaken by the Operations team.• Co-ordinating all resources for site visits with internal and external stakeholders ensuring seamless communication.• Implementation, maintenance, and support of several bespoke radar software products for the company.• Installation of hardware including PC’s, displays and networking equipment.• Configuration, installation and troubleshooting of all Windows operating platforms.• Installation of Windows Server 2012/2016, Active Directory, Windows 365, Firewall Administration and Networking.• On call support for all customers including the Ministry of Defence (MoD) and civil aviation airport customers at over 40 UK sites.• Delivery lead for the company for software and hardware installation for customers such as Aquila, Thales and BAE systems.• Undertaking regular customer maintenance site visits, including software, hardware and training.• Completing site acceptance testing for new releases of software at customer sites.• Repairing and testing of all customer hardware components against ISO 9001 certification.• Working against processes to ensure process improvement for the department.• Producing customer documents for project installation and support such as, risk assessments, design drawings, site surveys and statements of work. • Reviewing and critiquing design documents using change management software.
System Delivery Manager
The day-to-day management of the Systems Delivery (SD) team; SD are the technical experts at deploying Micro Nav solutions; they design, procure, build, export /ship, install and commission these solutions using consoles, projection and panel-based display solutions, computer hardware, operating systems, application software and networking knowledge. Directly Responsible for:• Management, monitoring and control of all operational and strategic activities undertaken by the System Delivery (SD) Team. • Transition of site installations, via the Validation team, into the Customer Support team at the end of the project lifecycle. • Supplier and component selection for the procurement of computer equipment and related software for Project and Support Customer requirements.• Formulating, reporting and analysing departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) that allow the effectiveness of the SD Team to be measured and improved.• Defining and agreeing SMART personal objectives for the SD Team.• Timely identification of SD resource and training needs to support Project demand.Responsible for all SD Team inputs to projects; ensuring each member of SD maintains the knowledge and competency to:• Work autonomously and efficiently – installations are right - first time, every time.• Create estimates and technical documentation to a high standard and on time.• Supervise installation activities (including third parties) ensuring Health & Safety.• Export hardware to Customer sites, including the production of appropriate export documentation and liaison with the Freight Forwarder.• Act as a focal point for troubleshooting and resolving complex system issues.• Represent the company positively during all Customer facing activities.
