Time spent at this facility enabled myself to grasp a better understanding of Engineering in practice. I learnt simple yet essential skills such as networking & communication between other engineers, effective project management, occupational health & safety and business process modelling. Technical skills acquired included understanding asset management software, Microsoft Excel with Visual basic applications, SQL programming, CITECT SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition), and a basic over view of control theory including old and new control systems.
