As the Video Production Manager at Action for Boston Community Development (ABCD), I work as a one-man band producer/videographer and editor, taking on all aspects of production from start to finish. I create short-form, documentary & PSA work that educates the public, donors and policy makers about ABCD’s anti-poverty initiatives in Boston. My work gets published on social media, on ABCD’s website, and as PSAs aired on local TV networks.

Before becoming Production Manager I was responsible for videography and editing of ABCD’s programs, services and events, filming b-roll, interviews, and community events in neighborhoods throughout Boston. I received a lot of experience editing videos quickly in a deadline-oriented production environment. I worked in the field frequently with DSLR cameras as well as camcorders. I also gained experience editing alongside producers, taking direction & requests.

In addition to my work for ABCD, I’ve produced, edited and shot a number of videos on a freelance basis for other non-profits in Boston, including the Urban College of Boston, METCO and the Families Creating Together program in JP.

I worked freelance as a camera assistant, PA & grip on a variety of productions, including HGTV’s “House Hunters”, “My First Place”, CNN’s “The 60’s” as well as corporate productions. In my role I assisted the DP with setting up lighting and camera equipment, sometimes working as a second shooter, and also helped the producer and crew with media management, transportation, media releases, equipment rental and more.
