-Specimen receiving and entering patient data into Laboratory Information System.-Coordinate with customer service and quality assurance to resolve problems such as specimens received in inappropriate conditions or specimens without test request form.-Perform various molecular assays such as DNA and RNA extraction, RT-PCR, gel electrophoresis, PCR product purification, vector preparation, bacterial transformation, Next generation sequencing (NGS) using Illumina Mi-seq.-Perform HIV and HCV viral load assays using Abbott m2000 and Roche COBAS Ampliprep platform.-Participate in QC assay development projects and assay transitioning from research and development to production.-Review QC specific SOPs, and inventory control of critical reagents.
